Last Photo (2025)

Going through the family photos with Dad, we came across an old envelope from Peerless Photo Finish Co., Charles City, Iowa. I pulled out a photo and Dad told me the funny story behind it.

“I had a big date and backed right out of that garage without opening the door!” I guess it warranted a photo.

We found more than 20 reprints of the same photo inside the envelope. That’s when he told me the rest of the story.

“It was the last photo of my mom and me together.”
